Raspberry PI White-LED Light Sensor

Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:29 pm

Can someone explain to me WLED and how I can use it as a smart lighting demo?
I want to make a WLED light that can be changed based on the environment brightness (Ex. LDR detects nighttime the WLED light will turn on and increase brightness)

Thanks!

What is a WLED, WLED?, wled?

If you use the search function on this forum, or google, you could find some information about "LDR and raspberry pi". So, did you do any research?

You can make it by programming you pi and the use of the correct hardware .
But back to you project: Change a WLED* by the environment brightness, you could also use a LDR and a opamp to do this.

WLED is NOT a common term, so changed it to white-led in subject, so the rest of us know what you are talking about. also moved to automation..SR.

and yes, you don't need a PI to DIM a LED especially as its an analog function.
