git clone -b rcswitch –recursive git://github.com/rotv/433Utils.git
cd 433Utils/RPi_utils

I receive this

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ git clone -b rcswitch –recursive git://github.com/rotv/433Utils.git
fatal: repository '–recursive' does not exist

Husar / Ed,

I've had the same problems you originally described and was hopeful that your script would help me to capture ceiling fan codes. However, I've tried running your python script, but I'm receiving the following error:

pi@raspberrypi:~/python_RF_scripts$ python capture.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "capture.py", line 10, in <module>
from rpi_rf import RFDevice
ImportError: No module named rpi_rf

I'm newish to this, but it I'm wondering what / where rpi_rf was installed from. Is this part of another package you installed?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi, do you solve this problem?
found similar with ninjablocks...try if you did not get this working...
cd ~/
git clone git://github.com/ninjablocks/433Utils.git
cd 433Utils/RPi_utils
make

Or maybe you found some other solution for reading and sending 433 MHz signal?
