Amazon Echo Dot

Sun Nov 06, 2016 12:16 pm

Im new here and to the Raspberry pi programming. Im in hopes that there is a way to program the Pi to accept commands from Alexa that will then trigger relays connected to the GPIO output pins. Has anyone done that and possible have coding for such? Ive searched the net and found nothing so far that appears to be what I need. I'd like the Pi to appear to be a wemo device to Alexa. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried connecting the Pi to IFTTT? It's simple to add an IFTTT service to the Echo.

I have but actually I haven't figured out how to use that either. I need to go back and look into it again I guess. But doesn't that still leave programing the Raspberry Pi?

Looks like it's been done. Google 'Raspberry Pi IFTTT'.

I tried searching there for it but I can't find anything. Thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can locate it.
