I'm really excited to get started on my first Raspberry Pi project.
I understand that this may not be the absolute correct topic, but this project involves many different factors. Sensing underpins it all so I decided to post it here.
To start, I have the A+ 256mb model. This is all the equipment I have right now (barring a screen and keyboard and mouse, I have that).
This is what I want to do:
I want to program this device, in Python, to be able to do the following:
- Detect a certain frequency of sound (I must be able to adjust this frequency if needed).
- Record how long that frequency is present (the sound will be coming from an external source. I.E. A machine.)
- Log that time (accurate to 1/10 of a second).
- Communicate that log, in real time or perhaps half hourly, to me (via email or something similar). The device will not be near me, but connected to wifi.
