Well Robot Wars is normally about radio controlled robots operated by people - so no need for a pi, but:
For too long, the schedules have cried out for a show in which dedicated amateurs, toiling day and night, handcraft sophisticated automatons built on the delicate interplay of hand-wired servo motors with custom-built circuit boards and fingertip motion control, just to see them get smashed to pieces by a dustbin carrying a massive hammer.
I think that may have just been badly phrased though - automonous bots are the realm of Robot Olympics / Techno Games

more likely in the governments contest of automated convoys. Of course the cheap price of them will probably disqualify them from use.
