Which remote temperature logging option is most robust?

Tue Oct 27, 2015 9:28 pm

I would like to use my Rasberry Pi for remote temperature logging when I am away on holiday.

Number 1 priority is robustness.
I would like to set it up and (after troubleshooting) be reasonably confident it should work for 4 weeks or more without crashing.

Whilst viewing the data on a google spreadsheet is slightly advantageous for later analysis, the number 1 priority is something that will just run without falling over.
So it is also OK if it e-mails me the data, posts it on twitter, has it's own web page or whatever.

There are many solutions out there, but how do I identify the most robust ?

One more point, this will be my first Rasberry Pi project.

I'm running a BMP180 temp/pressure sensor and logging the data to http://plot.ly that's robust (when my code on my RPi doesn't fail).
