Looking in to a few DS18b20 o ebay and found these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5X-5M-Waterpr ... 2ece0d4f62

They are equipped with connector but what is the name of that - need to have something to put it in :)

Any other suggestions to how I can connect 4-5 DS18b20 to a 'bus' to my Pi?
I am using the raspberry for several purposes so I need to be able to easy disconnect the sensors.
I dont need to ad/remove sensors in runtime.

Looks a bit like a JST connector, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JST_connector or perhaps http://www.jst.com/home2.html

It doesn't look like anything special, just a standard 3 pin 0.1"/2.54mm pitch pin connector.

To connect those sensors to your Pi you would need to make a small circuit. I would build it on stripboard (veroboard). Buy some 0.1"/2.54mm pin strips and cut them down. Then solder onto the board.

You need to connect all the Power pins (probably red wire) of the sensors to Pin 1 on the GPIO connector (3.3V), all the Ground pins to any of the GND pins on the GPIO connector (pin 6 or 9 for example), and all the data pins to Pin 7 on the connector (GPIO4). You also need to put just one 4.7K Ohm resistor between Pin 1 and Pin 7 on the GPIO connector to provide a pull-up voltage.

Then you need to enable the sensors by editing your config.txt file (sudo nano /boot/config.txt) and add the line

Code: Select all

dtoverlay=w1-gpio
and reboot or it to take effect. Then you should see your sensors in /sys/bus/w1/devices

It's probably just a generic 3 pin connector:

maybe a 3 pin vertical connector will be the part you need:

I would probably re-terminate the end and use this style of 3 pin connector.
