is there any update on PWM of pi 2? I didn't know if the spec changed or not.

It's the same as the B+.

Dougie, I suspect what he means is that due to the fact that the processor is so much faster, can it PWM at higher frequencies? I could be mistaken, but I believe the max frequency of the B+ was CPU-limited, so it's entirely plausible that the v2 has better specs in that regard. A quick google search doesn't yield any PWM benchmarks, but if you know of any I'm certain that would be appreciated.

There are two usable hardware PWM channels on the Pi's with the 40 pin expansion header. The capabilities are unchanged from the original Pi's.

Hardware timed PWM (using DMA) is available on all user gpios but again this is unchanged from earlier models.

Software timed PWM may be more usable (less jitter) because of the extra cores on the Pi2.

Trying to deduce what the OP meant is a little difficult when his/her problem description is so fuzzy.
