Tips on sending sensor data from esp32 to rpi3 with wifi bor luetooth

Tue May 11, 2021 9:49 pm

I have a project to do, i'm gonna measure temperature and humidity from bme280, i need help with sending the readings from esp32 to to rpi3, first of all idk if i should i use bluetooth or wifi?, i was thinking of bluetooth, making rpi3 discoverable and then program the esp32 to send data and the rpi to save them in a file, or over wifi by running a tcp server on rpi and then make esp32 connect to it and send data, would be a big help if somebody could give me a few reccomendations on how to do this, didn't find much information on the internet about this, or would using wifi be a better option?

best regards

MQTT (using wifi) is the perfect option.

There are many tutorials in the net.

MQTT libraries are available for ESP32.
