UPS - Use 18650 batteries instead of batterie provided?

Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:47 pm

H all,
Just bought an RPi UPSPACK Standard V3P which came with the 3,7v / 10000mAh ( Raspberry Pi club ) batterie.
Unfortunalty , this battery is huge compared to my need in term of physical size ( square of 12 x6x 1 cm )
Could I put in serial 2 "usual" batterie 18650, as replacement of this baterrie ? I read somewhere that only 1 cell batteries can be used ? true ? why ? if so, are there some workaround ?
Thanks for your insights !

No do not use it with two 18650 (or any other lithium type cells) in series.

Thanks for the answer @drgeoff.
So I guess I should use something like that ? https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B082KJ ... E2NO&psc=1
Can I add more batteries to increase running time ?
