Backup a Pi to a cloud provider

Thu Dec 04, 2014 3:48 pm

Hi
With the proliferation of cloud services (Dropbox, Google Drive,Cubby,Box etc), has anybody tried to use the likes of dd or rsync to back up a Pi to said services? I ask as I recently came across an excellent script that uses the Dropbox service to receive files from a Pi http://raspi.tv/2013/how-to-use-dropbox ... spberry-pi and it got me thinking. I have a few Pi's in remote locations, with both USB slots being used so physically taking the cards out to back up, and/or using an external drive/card reader is not practical. I could set up a central backup server ,yes, but with so many companies throwing cloud space at people, seems like a route to investigate?

thanks
