List of Successful Pi Servers

Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:40 pm

Can we compile a list of packages / applications that *just work* on raspberry pi?

So far I have Apache Reverse Proxy and Nagios just works with apt-get.

IMO the wiki would be a better place for such compilations..

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere

A shorter list might be things that *don't* work. Once something's made it into Debian stable, it generally works pretty reliably.

Everything I've installed so far has worked fine - Apache, nginx, php, mysql, postfix, tftpd, proftpd, samba etc. .

Varnish does not work *yet* (working on it ...!) - tools to make your life with the Pi a little bit easier

Using SAMBA4-RC5 on top of Raspbian on it. Acting as a backup of sorts since the main DC is on a FreeBSD jail. All features work fine: kerberos, ldap (although it can be a bit slow because of the sd card speed) and DNS.
