I can't seem to get SMB to work.
I tried to make my raspberry pi a NAS. I put the "share" folder on a flash drive and it's displayed on my network. I could connect and log in to it with my mac, but I can't move any folders or files on or off of it. I was also wondering if I could put the "shares" folder on the Pi's SD card?

Re: I can't seem to get SMB to work.
read this thread http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... ns#p250033 it much helped me fix my smb permissions. also its not a good idea to run a smb share off a sd card it will wear it out a lot quicker. its better if you have a powered usb harddrive or a powered hub with a thuumbdrive to use as your smb share.
