*In this tutorial to I`ll show you how to turn your Raspberry Pi into a Pen Test Device. It is not for hacking, and I do not condone its use for that, I insist that you only use it to test out your networks security.*
So recently, a new flavor of Linux had been introduced as Kali Linux and is being advertised on Backtrack website. What is this fuss all about? What is Kali Linux and why are Backtrack guys advertising it. Kal Linux is the Next-Generation Backtrack Linux. Kali is a complete re-build of BackTrack Linux, adhering completely to Debian development standards.
If all you want to do is to install Kali on your Raspberry Pi, follow these instructions:
1. Get a nice fast 8 GB (or more) SD card. Class 10 cards are highly recommended.
2. Download the Kali Linux Raspberry Pi image from Kali Linuxes download area.
3. If your on Linux or Mac use the dd utility to file the image to your SD card. If youur on windows, use the Win32DiskImager.
This process can take a while depending on your USB storage device speed and image size. Once the dd operation is complete, boot up your Rasberry Pi with the SD card plugged in.
You will be able to log in to Kali. Username: root, password: toor
