Realy noob!!

I'm not use to programing (well VBA ) so sorry if I ask a noob question.

I don't have a Rpi but i'm realy interested of owning one beacause of is price and there a VGA video output.

Anyway one of my goal would be to watch steaming video... Unfortunately most of the web site use flash (I usualy watch french movie so...)

After 2-3 hour of reading I realy saw that its was impossible to make a flash video to work.... But from this I got an idea. There a desktop (with vista) somwhere else in my house that is connected to a routeur. Can i remote control that computor from Rpi and watch video from the connection...

I know that it may lag so its why I ask your advise...

Not really a VGA connection you can get a converter. Not sure if you were meaning HDMI

As far as streaming this is an article I have been keeping my eye on.

It does cost so be aware of that. And as far as Flash if you could post some sites if appropriate maybe others can help determine what performance you can get. As Flash from websites actually don't perform on the PI.

Also a bit confused as to remote control do you wish to have the PI control the other pc capable of viewing these pages? And just have the Pi change the content on the PC?

What I meant for the remote control : Ok I would like tu use Pi the connect it to the pc and with Pi control the pc. So I could lunch I movie on the pc via Pi... not sur if you get that lol !!!

Don't try to stream video over any RDP protocol.
It sucks. Really. I think the Pi is simply not the right choice
for you.

PS: Just to make it clear - The Pi has NO VGA. You have to buy a
ACTIVE , externally powered Adaptor.
