FTP Server and restricting users...

Thu Jan 31, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi there all

Recently go a Pi and have been delving into linux.

I've set up a FTP server on the Pi which has a USB drive connected to it- my aim is to use this as the storage.

It all works perfectly and I can access it anywhere- however, I want to be able to restrict users to a folder on the USB drive, and not allow them to go anywhere else. At the moment, anyone can log in, they are dumped at their home folder, and they can go anywhere on the SD Card!

How would I go about achieving this?

Is FTP the best protocol to use, or is something else better?
:D
Thanks all!
