I loaded ConnectBot free ssh client on my Samsung Galaxy Ace

I have Wifi active on the phone

login with pi@192.168.x.x:22

where the x's are the address of my RPi

password raspberry

The font is tiny and almost unreadable BUT IT WORKS!

Does it require ROOTING ?

That is through my router.

you can install a terminal emulator on your android device and ssh from there, also you can install android vnc viewer and vnc into the raspi

Nah! I'm just happy with what I've got.
