Connecting to enterprice network raspberry pi 3 b+

Mon Sep 16, 2019 2:34 pm

Hi, i'm trying to connect my raspberry pi to the university network.

I tried editing the wpa_supplicant.conf to the follow

Code: Select all

network={
      ssid="eduroam"
      priority=1
      proto=RSN
      key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
      pairwise=CCMP
      auth_alg=OPEN
      eap=PEAP
      identity="myUsername"
      password="myPass"
      phase1="peaplabel=0"
      phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"
      }

Sadly this does not work. Below is a picture of the settings for the wifi from my laptop computer which sucessfully connects to the wifi.

The raspberry connects sucessfully to the network but the browser gives the following error:
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Pick up the phone or walk across the campus to your University Network Helpdesk. The folks there are paid to fix your network connectivity problems.

Did you get an IP?

Eg. can you ping Googles DNS serveres?

Code: Select all

ping 8.8.8.8
I expect your identity is something with "[email protected]" -- otherwise your setup won't work, when you visit another Eduroam partner.

Wrt. security, you should add something like

Code: Select all

        anonymous_identity="[email protected]"
        ca_cert="/usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla/some_cert.crt"
        domain_match="radius.your.uni"
-- they are not required for Eduroam to work .. but needed if you care about security.
