Hi,
I have a Raspberry pi3 b+ with internal wifi 2,4/5ghz wifi module.
I need at least 2 different wlan interfaces connectet each to different connection with a different IP.
So I bought 2 wifi USB dongle one Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2870/RT3070 Wireless Adapter and one Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN Adapter.

in fact with command lsusb appear:

Code: Select all

Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0bda:8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN Adapter
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 148f:3070 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2870/RT3070 Wireless Adapter
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0424:7800 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:2514 Standard Microsystems Corp. USB 2.0 Hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:2514 Standard Microsystems Corp. USB 2.0 Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
but with ifconfig have only this interfaces:

Code: Select all

enxb827eb3c0396: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 192.168.178.57 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.178.255

where wlan0 is internal raspberry wifi.
infact with iwlist wlan0 scan show me all 5Ghz/2.4Ghz connection ( my two dongles are 2.4 only)

how can I configure and add wlan1 and wlan2 to my raspberry?

Fixed with a simple reboot !!
the new interfaces will be generated on boot.
