Esp8266 can not acess to Rasperry

Fri May 17, 2019 3:08 pm

I have an Esp8266 and i can't ping to one raspberry PI. I have tried to following actions:

Ping from Esp8266 to Raspberry(1) ERROR.
Ping from Raspberry(1) to Esp8266 SUCCESS!
Ping from my pc to Raspberry(1) SUCCESS!
Ping from my pc to Mobile Phone SUCCESS!
Ping from Esp8266 to Raspberry(2) SUCCESS!

In raspberry (1) I have only installed mosquito server.
In raspberry (2) is an image from OPENhab (https://www.openhab.org/docs/installati ... abian.html) with mosquito and some extra features.

There is any way to extract the error from raspberry when I pinged from esp8266?

Thanks.

Hello,

Also in raspberryPi(1) I have installed the same image (the OpenHab) image and the bug still happen.

Note: Raspberry Pi(1) is 3B+ brand-new and the raspberry(2) is 3B.

Thanks

fwiw i have about 30 esp devices running atm and when having a setup session usually find 1 or 2 devices dont behave on the network as expected until the router gets a reboot, while its probably my dodgy network h/w, i think its worth mentioning just in case..

Problem face.
The problem is that I have buy a new router and I used as switches. So esp8266 as is not in this router connected ("is in connected over other wifi router") is not able to communicate with the raspberry.
I had decided to change the router to a normal switch because I almost not use the wifi of this router.
Well, If anyone could help/guide me to solve without changing the router I will be very grateful.
Thanks!!

Leave the hardware as is for now.

Power off the ESP that’s giving you the issue
Set the PC up as the same IP address as the ESP
Put it in the same location as the ESP
Can you ping the Pi from the PC?

If so, it’s the ESP with the issue.
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
