TP-Link Archer T4U AC1300 installation

Mon May 06, 2019 2:15 pm

On a Raspberry Pi B+ with kernel Linux raspberrypi 4.14.98-v7+ #1200, I have download the Archer T4U_V3_181018_Linux_beta software from https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/down ... 4u/#Driver.
The driver package is unzip on /tmp/mozilla_pi0/T4Uv3_WiFi_linux_v5.3.1_beta.
I can see all the subdirs and files?
But wat's the next step and how?

Thanks in advance

The download appears to be for Linux x86 CPU Architecture..

...the Raspberry Pi has ARM CPU Architecture.

It appears to use a Realtek 8812AU Chipset:

That link points to the T4U AC1200 data. The OP says he has a T4U AC1300 and wikidev shows https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_Archer_T4U_v3

Says it uses the 8812BU driver. The 8822bu driver I compile supports the 8812BU devices but the driver I compile for kernel 4.14.xx does not include the USB ID for the T4U AC1300.

I have updated the driver to include the T4U AC1300 USB ID and am currently compiling it. To install it if the wifi module is connected to the Pi you should just need to use command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi
The script will then automatically install the right driver type for your wifi module, the 8822BU driver. You don't need to tell the install-wifi script which driver to install.

Updated driver is now ready to install. Just run command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi
and it should now install the right driver.

<< SOLVED>>

Now after
sudo install-wifi
the correct driver was installed
and I see
sudo airmon-ng
PHY Interface Driver Chipset

phy1 wlan0 brcmfmac Broadcom 43430
phy0 wlx503eaab9d1fb ??????

Thanks a lot MrEgman
