How to add a usb live camera to a website hosted by pi

I am looking to find a way to add a live feed of a usb camera onto a website my pi is hosting. Currently the website is hosted on the pi using Node.js with a websocket. Previous attempts I have made have not worked so i would appreciate any help I could get, thanks.
