Raspberry Pi 3 B + as wireless AP 802.11x and freeradius

Sun Sep 16, 2018 11:17 pm

Hello,
I've got a Raspberry Pi 3 B + and i'm wanting to configure it as a wireless access point, one which supports 802.11x WPA2-EAP authentication. I'm wanting to have the radius server on the PI which is the same as the AP, how would I pull this off? I've looked at google and most of what I read seems to want either a separate radius server or a separate router, I'm wanting to have both of them on a single Pi. It's running Raspbian stretch.
Thanks.
Dave.

I haven't tried it, but I have used radius with APs before. This looks like a fairly good guide.

The hostapd.conf setup for auth_server_address and acct_server address are both good for a local radius server.
