SMB Share from Pi to Windows 10 1803

Sat Jul 14, 2018 2:07 am

Hello I am using the latest version of Raspbian on my pi and I have a HD enclosure attached via USB. I have edited the smb.conf file and have been accessing the share from my Windows 10 computer for years now.

I updated to Windows 10 1803 and now I can't access my share. I read that Windows disabled SMB 1.0 in this version and I wanted to know what version of SMB is being used in Raspbian.

I was always using a guest account to log on as my credentials when entered in windows 10 never worked. I would like to have it so I do need to enter a password to access the share but was having so many issues I went without.

I would appreciate any help as I use those drives for my backs up and they are kind of important for me to be able to access them.

Here is what I had entered for one of the shares in smb.conf

Comment = Pi shared folder
Path = /media/pi/pi_drive2/pi_shared_2
Browseable = yes
Writeable = Yes
only guest = no
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
Public = yes
Guest ok = yes
