phpBB3 on Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu MATE

Fri Sep 23, 2016 6:10 pm

Hi all,

I am having some difficulty installing phpBB3 onto my Raspberry Pi, and for some reason, after writing the MySQL tables, it breaks, and Chrome throws a HTTP-ERROR-500 message at me!

Can anyone help? Here's a dummy setup I have stringed together:
  • MySQL DB URL: 127.0.0.1
    MySQL DB User: admin
    MySQL DB Pass: test123
    MySQL DB Name: community
    Table Prefix: forum_
But anyway, that's beside the point; I need to know why it is giving me HTTP-ERROR-500.

Thanks,

Mirukai

Probably should check the log files for the webserver you are using.

HTTP 500 is always due to a CGI or PHP program failing on the server.

Take a look at /var/log/apache2/error.log and it should tell you what failed.
