Turn volume down during active Cisco managed phone calls

Hello all,
I set up Mopidy to run as a Spotify server for within our office. This allows us to connect to it to remotely via HTTP to manage the music and volume.
It has been running great since setting it up, however we'd now like to explore the possibility of hooking it into our Cisco managed phone system to essentially turn the volume down during a phone call and return back to the previous volume state once the call has ended. Currently we're having to do this manually via the web page which as you can tell can become tedious.
Does anybody know whether this has been done before or how it could be done?
Thanks,
Andy
