What wifi screen? You mean wpa-gui? Is this a fresh install? What do you mean it shows nothing?

some wifi seems not to work out of the box, u need to do some installation. I spent like a day trying to configure this and it drives me crazy. My recommendation is to buy this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003 ... ge_o00_s00

it works out of the box and no need to use powered usb.

Can you supply some info on your setup?

Can you post the output from commands

Code: Select all

uname -a
lsusb
cat /etc/network/interfaces
sudo cat /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
These will give details of you kernel version, wifi module and your current wifi network configuration.
