Simultaneous use of eth0 & wlan

Fri Jul 23, 2021 5:43 pm

Using a pi4 I connect the WIFI to a telco hot spot. This gets me to the internet. I run Teamviewer host on the pi and I'm able to connect in. The WIFI hotspot is at 192.168.1.1 and used DHCP to assign the pi an address in the 192.168.1.10 to .100 range. I then assign the eth0 a fixed address of 192.168.1.5 and connect it to a ethernet hub. There are several other devices with web servers and static address on the hub.

I thought I had this all working before but now i cannot ping or otherwise get to the other static devices on the hub (switch). From the pi I can ping its own static ip but thats it.

The purpose of all this is to Teamview into the pi remotely via the hotspot (which I can do) and use Firefox to get to the web interfaces of the other static devices connected to eth0.

Thanks for any help

wifi and eth0 should be in different subnets,
for example wifi 192.168.1.xxx, eth0 192.168.2.xxx
Pi4 RaspbOS 64+LXQT, linux 5.10.52-v8
