Install LISTSERV on Raspberry Pi

Fri Feb 23, 2018 11:16 pm

Hi!

I'm trying to set up an email distribution list for my wife's inordinately large family (150 people or so) who all have email addresses from different domains. I was thinking about using the free version of LISTSERV (http://www.lsoft.com/download/listservfree.asp), but I don't actually have any sort of server to run it from. The thought has crossed my mind to run something like this off of Raspberry Pi. Would it be possible to do this? I'm assuming I'd have to install a version of Unix first, but I'm pretty new to this.

Thanks!

Install Raspbian Linux with Etcher on a 16 GB SD card. Plug it in a Pi, start and configure it.
Reboot and install Apache2 , exim and mailman.
The following guide should also apply to Raspbian:

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
