Problem description: I have a pi installed on my RC car. And I want the pi to execute some simple controls(time delay within 2 seconds is acceptable) based on my input which could be from anything and as long as it is hard wired. I am looking for a simple solution to do this, but I do not know what is the best networking method. Please give me some helps or links.
What I know so far: I knew people used RC to control the pi on the car, but it seems quite a lot of work. Because I worked on many website projects, so I have been thinking to build a simple API on my website which means the PI will request the status, for example, turning on the light and take actions if the state is true.
I wish you can give me some advice, good tutorials or links so I can start it off.
