Your idea is a good one but I can't attend the call via head phone. I need to ring the analog phone. Is possible to connect buzzer with RPI.
You need an ATA (Analogue Telephone Adaptor).
I would add to that if you are using DECT phones you can get a VoIP base station which will allow you to use your existing handsets over a VoIP connection. Some even have a dual PSTN and VoIP capability.hippy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 1:59 pmI would also suggest that, for most people, a dedicated VOIP phone which just plugs into the router, or a unit which sits between the router and an analogue phone, will be much easier and probably cheaper than trying to get an analogue phone connected to a Pi and used for VOIP.
