Re: OpenELEC 4 Debian

Trying to get openelec running on raspbian. Used --force-architecture and got through that stage. Can't use
Sudo cp /boot/arm128_start.elf /boot/start.elf, it says

cp: cannot stat '/boot/arm128_start.elf': no such file or directory.

Read into it, apparently its different for 512 mb raspberry Pis, requiring a syntax of GPU_mem=(megabytes allotted to GPU)

Anyway I'm not sure how to go about changing that if its important.

Otherwise, rebooted the pi and tried
start OpenELEC,

And it tells me to exit x first then type sudo OpenELWC again. I do, and it just gives me the same message.

Any advice?

Max

Package is from last year, was made for an older RPi firmware version, and is unlikely to run unmodified on the newer ones.
Do not plan to release an update for it.
Suggest you use Berryboot instead if you would like to put OpenELEC and other other Linux distributions on the same card.
