Same issue. =/jaromanda wrote: UPnP is broken since r12055 or so
Also broken in XBian - so I'm guessing it's an XBMC problem
Can see folders, but no files.
And the same in the latest raspbmc, so it must be xbmc..

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
Hi,
I got a Panasonic TV - TH-50PZ700E
I have logged all the keys from the remote, and i could not get the DVD/VCR playback buttons to work on CEC, maybe i have to play a litle with viera link settings, i have tried to re-config the remote with the hold power off + 7 + 3 + stop with no luck..
I got this mapping:
Panasonic (008045)
OK = select (0)
Right = right(4)
Left = left(3)
Up = UP(1)
Down = down(2)
Return = exit (d)
Exit = clear (2c)
Option = setup menu (a)
Red = F2 (red) (72)
Green = F3 (green) (72)
Yellow = F4 (yellow) (74)
Blue = F1 (blue) (71)
Will this be sufficient buttons to control XBMC, seems to miss playback stop etc.?
Is it the remote.xml i need to change, and i believe it is the F1-F4 commend i need to put in for the Red to blue buttons?

I can also confirm that with newer builds when streaming mpeg4(h264) doesnt work...with r11999 everything is OK.

I have problem if i see a movie to get out??
I am new in XBMC also, but will try your file

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
Hello all,
I've got openelec running, my logitech K400 keyboard works fine, but there is 1 thing, if I decrease (or increase) the sound with "-" or "+" I have to press it A LOT to get the volume down, let's say 20 steps of volume.
Is it possible to set it at 5 steps of volume ?
: 0%, 30%, 60%, 80%, 100% ?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
Test build r12268 fixes a lot of the recent problems - and is possibly the best yet (as far as GUI performance is concerned). Announcement here. Definitely worth testing!
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
well fired up 12268 and did some testing.
1080p like its the spring of 2012... no go in other words. Thinks about playing for a long time. Finally heard some sound. A bit later got a few frames of video. Dropped a bunch of frames, audio all over the place. Finally got it to show some info on the overlay. CPU was spiked. Stopped the play back. After extremely long delay finally came back and then went to browse for something else and pi simply rebooted itself.
Tried a couple different things, including smaller sample size files. Same as above.
720p same as above.
Went to play a new tv show and noticed I was lacking in all my new shows. Hosted via a cifs mount. Went to see why it didn't mount. Attempted to mount it manually. No matter what I try I get - failed: Invalid argument
Main storage is nfs and is mounted and working as far as I can tell. If it hasn't crashed I'll go see if I can at least get some sort of SD content to play. Just figured it'd be something I actually wanted to watch.
On a good note! The interface speed is even better then the last one, but I'd give up 10% of that speed to be able to play something and another 10% if I can mount the items to play

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
for me 12268 is a no no, crashs every now then and restarts xbmc for no apparent reason while previous build had no problems.
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
ok tested sd... the old spinning working. working. working. never played anything. Perhaps this is a network client issue. NFS is mounted, cifs didn't mount, but the files on the nfs play like they are trying to come through a tiny pipe or just don't play at all.
btw I mount via autostart.sh - gives me a single directory structure across all the pis.

I mapped the exit key to full screen video toggle, pressing that during play will show me main menu (with the movie playing in background)rapzak wrote:Hi,Benoe wrote:I have the same buttons from my Panasonic remote, and I use the attached remote.xmlrapzak wrote:Hi,

Hi, that make sense, but are and how is Remote Return key (Exit) mapped to XBMC command back??
Kasper
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
when you press that key, cec (or xbmc) get it as "back" key. you need to map it to Back funktion in remote.xml:rapzak wrote: how is Remote Return key (Exit) mapped to XBMC command back??

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
so latest version 12322
still can't mount cifs shares via autostart.sh
sd content - one test, took longer then normal to start, but seemed to kinda play.
720p finally started - cut out totally, skipped ahead play a few seconds perfectly, stopped (receiver switched to nothing to decode mode), repeat
didn't even bother to try 1080p
Was a pain to upgrade as well. previous version I was on threw out error messages about being unable to write the new kernel/system due to read permissions and simply stopped at loading bootloader. Had to manually copy the files over. Luckily it didn't continue the update cycle as I was worried it'd do.

I followed this instruction and the file created.
I additionally added the hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1 command below the above mentioned setting and I have following conclusion.
Video playback and menu navigation is working like before. CPU load is 80-90%
RPI is still switching on the TV start to his HDMi output.
Any clue what is still wrong?
Additionally
1. Can I have in the latest version the OC menu like in the RaspBMC ?
2. In the latest version is there a need to set up the OC setting in the config.txt?
3. Where is the remote.xml file located? and How can I edit it to map keys (an instruction how to would be great).
4. When I`m playing movie and pressing "ok" (select) button I get the information about the system on the top of the screen but I want to have the menu coming from the bottom where I can e.g. start/stop, download subtitles, adjust audio settings .. etc. ..
What should I do to have it my way??
5. On my Samsung d67500 tv in the "Source" menus I have several RPI ... e.g.
A) under HDMI1 is standard - CEC is not working,
B) raspberry.pi -> with CEC support;
C) XBMC -> with CEC support;
D) raspberry.pi -> as media server
How to set it up to have only option A) with CEC support, or in the worst case A and B.
PS. Actually I`m using R12050
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
so trying to update to next version... 12350... with previous update do auto update on reboot due to read issue of kernel and system. Appears to continue to be an issue as I'm manually going to copy over 12350 now I guess. I'll dump over the bootloader files as well this time in hopes (even though file size hasn't changed) that the next reboot update might actually succeed.
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
Maybe i discovered a bug, can someone else try that out?
I'm on 12350.
Enter music mode and play a mp3 from a sambe share. Go to full screen mode. Now press c (context menu) and xbmc stops working and auto restarts a few seconds later.

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
anyone else who mounts cifs via autostart try 12350 yet? i'm reluctant to upgrade from something that is working since I had to downgrade so far to get that again.
Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds
ok another version another chance to be a guinea pig.
12457
still no cifs/samba. attempted to even use via xbmc itself this time and was thrown up an error message. believe something about unavailable or such. cifs/samba get removed?
on the video play back front. was able to play sd and 720p, even exit and switch to other things. I didn't test 1080p yet, but results so far are looking good. all played via nfs mount btw, at least that's working better this version.
update - yes 1080p works as well
