upgraded to r11258 and tried to play video from sdcard (downloads folder).opperpanter wrote: Only some mpgs work. Any avi just spits out garbage for about 1 second and then the whole thing crashes and needs a hard reset.
with this build (r11258) passthrough works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, but i have a build i built from git just over an hour ago (r11256) where passthrough DOES NOT work. My git says its up to date so the changes in r11258 must not have been committed yet.sraue wrote:Hi,
Another short update (r11258):
http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/op ... 58.tar.bz2
to update a older build without reinstalling: http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title ... g_OpenELEC
please test this build, esp. the changes regarding Passtrough and the PAL issue and report back any problems.
- fixed Passtrough (not tested by me, please test).
- possible fix for the PAL issue (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... =25#p90553) (not tested by me, please test).
It is needed to update the bootloaderfiles on the first partition of your SD-card with the files you find in 3rdparty/bootloader folder
thanks
Stephan

Well I tried that, but the device is completely dead afterwards, so no possibility to get the logs.sraue wrote:opperpanter wrote:upgraded to r11258 and tried to play video from sdcard (downloads folder).opperpanter wrote: Only some mpgs work. - enable debugging in xbmc via system/settings/system/debugging
- try some videos
- login via ssh
- paste xbmc.log with
Code: Select all
paste /storage/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log- also a mediainfo from this videos would help

What's the contents of config.txt when it fails?jasjeet wrote:New problem, wont boot when i have config.txt in root of System partition for my CPU Overclock.

Make sure you have "analog (OMX)" not "hdmi (OMX)" in audio putput settings. I believe switching on the HDMI audio kills the composite display.VZoltan wrote:if i try the very same video to play (as i showed it prev post with screenshots) tv goes blue (blank) means, no signal.
we are building it from the git source and compiling it ourselves.Inaccessible Rail wrote:Sorry if I'm being dense but where are people getting 11260 from? I can't see it here.
I fixed it somehow, i think my start.elf had some problem. It wasnt working even with 700Mhz. Some problem on my SD card i think. I ran file check, then replaced start.elf and it works ok now.dom wrote:What's the contents of config.txt when it fails?jasjeet wrote:New problem, wont boot when i have config.txt in root of System partition for my CPU Overclock.
Does a smaller overclock still boot?
You can build the latest one yourself, its really easy i make it in a Virtual Machine, follow the steps exactly on a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 build (12.04 not so good).Inaccessible Rail wrote:Sorry if I'm being dense but where are people getting 11260 from? I can't see it here.

You'll need to be more specific to get any help.VZoltan wrote: Now i have video but the video is now shrunk a few pixels vetrically.

I've just tried r11258 and I'm getting bad stuttering every few seconds. Either that or video plays nice and smooth with no sound at all. This is from an external hard drive in the usb port. On the plus side, Weather and addons are now working.onetootreefor wrote:hmm even on r11170 (the image i have no buffering and perfect audio passthrough) smbd only shows 10-30KB/s on avg streaming to the pi and it doesnt buffer ever. So it must be something else besides the smb connection. Anyone have any clues why I would be having so much buffer on r11258 but not on r11170?
