Raspbmc & WD TV Live Hub

Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:11 am

I've done a search on here and Raspbmc's forum but can't see any answers leaping out at me, so....

My R-Pi is currently set up to run Raspbmc which is OK for what I needed, but I've just bought a Western Digital 1TB Live Hub. I see that it's networkable and able to share files at home to PCs and suitable TVs.

Will I be able to see the drive and watch through my R-Pi without any aggro?

The answers to your two questions are respectively 'yes' and 'perhaps'. :)

I've been streaming from my WDTV 1TB Live Hub to Raspberry Pi XBMC for a few months now.

Works fine :D

(based on: most of my content is 720p and using cabled ethernet)

Sounds good, once I've mastered converting DVD VOBs to something less space hungry without loss of quality, I shall give it a go now that I've aquired a 16 port network thingy from work.

Any recomendations for conversion software?
