config.txt & license file

Tue Mar 05, 2013 9:22 pm

Hello, just bought 2 license files from raspberry to play MPEG2 content. I have to put them in my config.txt file, but where do i find that file? Can i just edit that file with a text editor, or should a change it through ssh?

You can use a text editor on the RPi. The file is /boot/config.txt. However you probably need to be superuser to change the file. Use eg

Code: Select all

sudo vi /boot/config.txt
Or you can edit the file on another PC. A Windows PC will just see the boot partition and will show all its files in its root.

(Puzzled why you have bought two licences to play MPEG-2.)
