Carputer/Carpc Touch Screen Find?

Sun Jan 20, 2013 6:44 pm

Been looking into a 7" HDMI touchscreen to use as part of a carputer/carpc running Raspbmc (for XBMC) and ive come across these...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAMSUNG-7-LED-L ... 0659968637?

Obviously all the same thing with different cases as such, but has anyone used one sucessfully or know of anyone who has?

It says in the ad that its "plug and play" with the RPi but im not convinced and dont fancy splashing out for something that may not do as it says...

Cheers
Mike

Hi!

I am trying to build a car pc with Raspberry PI.
My first advise is to search a display board with hdmi input. The signal from S-video is not of good quality and hdmi to vga adaptors for Raspberry PI can burn your PI.
I have a 7 display and touchscreen with controller for display and touch from

I have added support in XBMC and it works really nice on Raspberry PI model B

I have 2din case for my car but the display doesn't fit perfectly, it remains some space around it. I am curious if this kind of case(http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-HID-BUTTON- ... 1c2dc7648d) will fit nice.

Regards,
Andrei
