Does KODI play 10bit h265, HEVC in Raspberry Pi 4 ?

Sun Nov 08, 2020 4:45 am

I mainly use the Raspberry Pi as a video media player to watch movies or videos in my tv from my 2tb external hard drive.
i use Kodi as the multimedia player in Rasp Pi
i had the Rasp Pi 3 it worked fine for h264 and 1080p videos , but it could not play, 4k, h265, hevc, and even FLAC video files.
also it was not able to read my other external 8tb hard drive.
so i bought the Rasp Pi 4, hoping that it is more powerful and can play those video formats. as well as read my 8th ext drive
can anyone verify
or help so i am able to play those video formats i mentioned

would greatly appreciate it

thank you

the only way to know is to try it yourself on your RPi4 system and see if it complies with your demands...
"Don't come to me with 'issues' for I don't know how to deal with those
Come to me with 'problems' and I'll help you find solutions"

Some people be like:
"Help me! Am drowning! But dont you dare touch me nor come near me!"

Try and find out.
You may also need to add:

hdmi_enable_4kp60=1
