How to use a hard drive in my PC as an external HD for RPI HTPC over ethernet cable?
Not sure how to set this up. Please keep in mind I do not want to stream a video using my PC but simply use the PC as a source for the RPI itself to play the video.

To do that you would set up the drive as a network share, and then any computer on your network could access it (including the Pi).
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
