XMBC screen size issue?

Fri Nov 23, 2012 9:34 pm

I have XMBC on my raspberry but when I load it up the OS screen doesn't fit my TV. I have got the resolution at 1080p 60htz and reduced the zoom function to about -10 and muddled around with the video calibration settings but it never seems to be the right size. Its either to big or to small and when viewing video it is the same. Also the OS is no in the middle of my TV.
I have a Panasonic TX-P42S10B 42-inch TV.

Can someone help me with this as I want to watch full HD movies but can't.

There is a menu item in the settings that allows you to calibrate XBMC to your screen.
Settings->System->Video output->Video calibration

is the disable_overscan="1" in your config.txt on the SD Card ?

also maybe check your Panasonic TV's Overscan is set to OFF

(My Panasonic TV which has an Overscan setting for ON or OFF which is not a Global setting ...it's a separate individual setting for each input eg.HDMI1,2,3,AV,DTV etc)

and as jbruntt said correctly, you can Calibrate XBMC . (but i would check the above 1st)
