Stream from file

Tue Jan 29, 2019 1:08 am

There are plenty of tutorials on how to stream the camera but I am not allowed to have a camera in my building. Can I build something that will stream a file, nothing fancy.Probably just a looping video. It can be either received by either VLC or embedded in a web page (or both).

The end goal is to build a fake drone feed so that our guys have assets to reach when configuring networks instead of just pinging.

I'm also open to other ideas for assets to reach. I'm currently working on a web server, FTP, file share/NAS, and maybe share point if I can figure out how to do it for free. I have access to a couple of PCs and the ability to host about 20 raspis.

thanks
