My actual situation:
I have 3 raspberry pis running on Openelec (Kodi 17)
1 raspi in my living room
1 raspi in my sleeping room
1 raspi in my cellar bar.
The living room raspi is equipped with 2 USB-HDs, each 2 TB. My videos and music files are stored on these HDs.
The 2 other raspis ('slaves') are connected by 'smb'-commands to get the data from the living room HDs.
Therefore the 2 raspi-slaves have their own video- and music-databases.
You know the problems (actualizing each raspi database after adding 1 or more media files, no synchronization of viewing states).
So: I would like to have connected the two slave-pis by mysql or mariaDB so they won't have to use their own databases..
Is it right that there is no chance installing mysql (or mariaDB) on Openelec systems?
I fear (if the answer is YES) that I have to build up the 3 systems from scratch:
- installation of Raspbian light
- installation of mysql or mariaDB
- installation of Kodi
- definition of all options, configuration of the skin
Or is it possible to install my Openelec Kodi-backups in Raspbian-Kodi?
(Openelec Configuration => System => Create System and Kodi Backup)
Thx in advance for Your help and Your answers.
