Looping videos and autoplay in XBMC

Mon Nov 05, 2012 12:47 pm

I really dislike the playlist system in XBMC and find it to be counter-intuitive. I have found a way to set repeat a single video, but it doesn't seem to be very reliable. Basically I right-clicked the video in question and clicked Queue Item. I then right-clicked it again and got the "Now Playing" option. In there I could set Repeat to All.

Now when I play the file it does seem to repeat, but only for a few repetitions after which it seems to stall, requiring manual intervention again to get it going.

Any suggestions on making XBMC repeat more consistently, or how to succesfuly create a playlist?

I'd also like XBMC to boot and play that file by default. Is there a way to schedule that anywhere?

I would just use the official OS and add a little script looping omxplayer.
