Wireless external Display for android

Sat Apr 28, 2018 10:15 pm

Hi Guys,

I would like to build a Wireless Display using my Raspberry Pi Zero W or Pi 3B with a LCD Screen on it for connecting my android smartphone to it. In my case, I would like to see Google Maps on it while riding my motorcycle. To keep the option to connect the smartphone via Bluetooth to my headphones, it would be great to connect the Raspberry Pi to my smartphone via WiFi (or WiFi direct). Does anyone has an idea how to get this set up working? Ich do not even know if I can build up a WiFi direct Connection to the Raspberry pi. I Always did some kind of streaming over a Network.
Thanks to all Kind of ideas!

I also have heard of androitAuto and this is mostly what I would like to do but instead of connecting the Phone via USB cable it would be better to do it Wireless because I could keep the Phone I my poket while I am riding. So all in all, using androitAuto wireless it would be my perfect solution.
Thanks for your Help!
