Can you control a USALS satellite rotor via a Raspberry Pi and a USB DVB-S2 tuner?

Hello,

I have been messing around with installing TVHeadend on on a Raspberry Pi and it seems to work really well.

TVHeadend supports USALS and I was just wondering whether there was any way I could get the Pi to move a satellite to pick up the various channels.

I have done some research and this tuner supports USALS:

Would this work in conjunction with the Pi for what I want to do?

I do not see any reason why not. (Assuming you can obtain one.)

I have managed to track down a similar product from TBS.

It does specifically say that motorised dishes are supported, so the external power supply must supply enough power.
