Installing Logitech Media Server in Raspbmc

Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:43 pm

Is there a way to install Logitech Media Server in Raspbmc, and still be able to use the traditional Squeezeplayer remote for iPhone/Android as well as gain remote access to the server interface?

likely yes as you can get the perl source code http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Logite ... -7.7.2.tgz
SBC with 32GB RAM: https://hardkernel.com

Squeezeplug has an image for a raspberry pi on their website:

The creater also hangs around on the forums here, so if you need help, he'll probably reply :P

And yes it works exactly like LMS

If you want to compile LMS from source look at this post http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 35&t=15555. The instructions are for straightforward raspbian but I presume its not too much difference for raspmc. If you're not worried about the spotify plugin you can install LMS in the armhf version and it works pretty much flawlessly.
