Doom 64 Ex is a recreation of the original N64 game(one of my favorite games ever at that), not a total conversion. svkaiser created it for Windows and very recently it was ported it to Linux.
Anyways right now it runs well on the Raspberry Pi(ram usage with a GUI is still over 80mb free) however is relying on Mesa software OpenGL to render(so very very 5 seconds per frame slow). Heres directions on getting it to work hopefully some of you can get it to talk to OpenGL ES 2.0, when I launch it from the console it looks like its loading the graphics but gets a segment fault. Loads fine in X11. It should run super nice with the Broadcom GPU
Instructions for building Doom 64 ex:
(sudo where applicable)
svn co https://doom64ex.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/doom64ex doom64ex
apt-get install libsdl-net1.2 libsdl-net1.2-dev fluidsynth libfluidsynth-dev cmake
ln -s /usr/include/SDL/SDL_net.h /usr/include
chmod 777 linux_install.sh
The rest of the instructions are in the README_linux.txt file
I was very suprised it compiled. Right now its only alsa sound and the broadcom driver that isnt working well with it. If anyone is interested in helping working out the kinks let me know.
