[SOLVED] Pikeyd on Kodi

Mon Mar 23, 2015 4:05 pm

Hi all,

I am playing around with a Pi&Bash>_ and trying to get it to work with Kodi as a VFD.

So far, I have got the LCD to work using this tutorial: http://www.sknorrell.de/blog/lcd-displa ... pberry-pi/

However, I am keen to get the push buttons on the Pi&Bash>_ to work too and it looks like Pikeyd is the best way to achieve this. The buttons are connected via an MCP23017 i2c chip.

However, when I try to install Pikeyd using any guide like this: http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/qu ... t-will-tri I fall at the first hurdle, since Kodi won't run most of the commands necessary via ssh and the directory structure is very different.

Does anyone have any tips as to where I could have a look to overcome this issue?

Thanks

Hi All,

I thought I would report back, that I have managed to fix this problem by switching to OSMC.

Have a look here: http://piandbash.co.uk/2015/03/pibash_-with-kodi-osmc/
