I would like to use a raspberrypi for one main task, which would be to play online racing with my racing simulator. I only play on iRacing.com, and here are the minimum requirements. Can someone tell me if this is achievable with the raspbery? Thanks!

• Hyperthreaded Intel CPU, AMD Athlon 64 CPU, or any dual
•core CPU
• 128MB Pixel Shader 2.0 (ATI 9700Pro or nVidia 6600 or better); 256 MB Pixel Shader 3.0 (ATI X1600 or nVidia 6800 GT/GS or better recommended) graphics adapter
• 1 GB system RAM
• 3Gb free hard disk space
• Steering wheel and pedals required
• Microphone optional, required for voice chat

Internet Browser Requirements

• Firefox 1.5, Internet Explorer 6, or newer
• Javascript enabled
• Cookies enabled
• Flash Player

Internet Connection Speed

• 56K dial
•up at a minimum, Broadband (DSL or Cable) highly recommended. Satellite broadband excluded.

Have you read the raspberry Pi specs AT ALL?

The answer is no, on most of the points above.

The post reads more like an advert - can't it just be deleted?

Given the hype of "a whole PC for £25" I feel there may be more posts on a similar line.

ok you nerds, I've read enough to know that some folks are running windows xp on it, and yes the usb will take care of the pedals/steering, so just not sure if the graphics can be handled properly.

Oh yeah? Well your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!

Anyway, the Pi can't run any version of Windows natively.

No, no-one is running Windows XP, its simple doesn't work on the Pi and never will. The Pi runs Linux. You may have mistaken Windows XP with X-Windows which is something else completely.

The answer to your original question is No, it won't run what you want.

Closing thread before it all goes very bad.
