DVBSky S960 V2 USB , dvblast and tsduck tsp

Wed Nov 06, 2019 12:14 pm

Hi, I have problems with the DVBSky S960 V2 USB when I try to use it with dvblast. I tried dvblast with a Pctv 461e, with no issues.

I installed in /lib/firmware the drivers found here: http://www.dvbsky.net/download/linux/firmware.zip

Code: Select all

# dmesg | grep dvb
[ 17.453675] usb 1-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: found a 'DVBSky S960/S860' in warm state
[ 17.454081] usb 1-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer

[ 17.759861] rc rc0: lirc_dev: driver dvb_usb_dvbsky registered at minor = 0, scancode receiver, no transmitter
[ 17.759886] usb 1-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: schedule remote query interval to 300 msecs
[ 17.759911] usb 1-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: 'DVBSky S960/S860' successfully initialized and connected
[ 17.760229] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_dvbsky

I also installed tsduck from github. Scanning devices:

Code: Select all

# tslsdvb -v

/dev/dvb/adapter0 (Montage Technology M88DS3103, DVB-S, DVB-S2)

tslsdvb: error reading status on /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0: Resource temporarily unavailable

  FEC(inner) .................................. auto
  Modulation .................................. QPSK

Capabilities: inversion auto, FEC 1/2, FEC 2/3, FEC 3/4, FEC 4/5, FEC 5/6,
FEC 6/7, FEC 7/8, FEC 8/9, FEC auto, QPSK, 2nd generation, recover

This command with tsp works, zapping only to channel 122, and the mpegts is correctly produced to multicast address 239.255.0.42:5004. I can see the red light (Lock) of the device switched on.

Code: Select all

# tsp -I dvb -a 0 --delivery-system DVB-S2 --fec-inner 3/4 --frequency 11432000000 --modulation 8-PSK --polarity vertical --roll-off auto --symbol-rate 29900000 -P zap 122 -O ip -t 1 -r 239.255.0.42:5004
Anyway, dvblast doesn't produce any multicast stream, and the red light of the device is switched off:

Code: Select all

# dvblast -a 0 -F 34 -f 11919000 -s 29900000 -v 13 -m psk_8 -5 DVBS2 -c dvblast.conf

Code: Select all

# cat dvblast.conf
239.255.1.42:5004/epg/srcaddr=127.0.0.1/ttl=0 1 122
Any idea?
Thanks, regards
